Najčešći kvarovi na Dacia

Iz iskustva naše radionice u Banja Luci - šta najčešće dolazi na popravku i na šta obratiti pažnju prije nego što se kvar pogorša.

  1. 01 /

1.5 dCi injectors and turbo (Renault tech)

Rough idle, black smoke under acceleration, increased fuel consumption, power loss, in severe cases the car will not move off.

Uzrok /Dacia Logan, Sandero, Duster, Lodgy and Dokker with the 1.5 dCi engine share the unit with the Renault Megane and Scenic. Injectors are a classic weak point - with our local fuel quality they typically need overhaul between 120,000 and 150,000 km. The turbo lasts longer, but if oil changes are neglected, the bearings suffer.

Popravka /We perform a return-flow test per cylinder. If only one injector is faulty, overhaul is the cheapest option. On the turbo we decarbonise the VGT mechanism or overhaul the bearings if they are loose. On Dacia the job is usually faster and cheaper than on French or German cars - the engine bay is easy to access.

    EGR valve on 1.5 dCi

The car jerks under acceleration, check engine light, increased fuel consumption, oil in the intake manifold, black smoke.

Uzrok /The EGR valve clogs with soot that comes from exhaust gases mixed with oil vapour from the crankcase breather. A typical problem on all dCi engines, usually between 100,000 and 150,000 km, earlier if you drive short city routes.

Popravka /We remove the valve, clean it mechanically and ultrasonically, or replace it if it is damaged. We also clean the intake manifold and check the crankcase breather hoses because that is the source of the problem.

  3. 03 /

Timing chain on 1.2 16V petrol

Rattling from the engine at cold start, check engine light, later rough running and timing sync fault.

Uzrok /The 1.2 16V petrol (D4F) in Sandero I and Logan I uses a timing chain that stretches over time, and the tensioner weakens. Many owners buy a Dacia precisely for the low price and are not aware that this engine needs a preventive chain inspection.

Popravka /Replacing the chain, tensioner and guides is fairly simple on this engine because the transmission end is easy to access. We always replace spark plugs and check oil condition - fuel-diluted oil from incomplete combustion is a common companion.

  4. 04 /

1.6 8V petrol - long life, but sensors and ignition cause headaches

Jerking under acceleration, hard cold start, occasional stalling, check engine light.

Uzrok /The 1.6 8V (K7M) is one of the most robust engines we have ever serviced. The block and head last forever. Problems come from small items - lambda sensor, crankshaft position sensor, ignition coils, spark plugs. On Dacias running LPG, these sensors wear faster because they work at higher temperatures.

Popravka /We diagnose exactly what is throwing the fault, replace only what is needed. Parts are cheap and the job is fast. This car does not ask for much, but the little it asks for it wants fixed quickly.

  5. 05 /

    AC and alternator belt tensioner

Squealing from the engine at start, especially when the AC is switched on, belt vibration, in some cases the belt comes off.

Uzrok /The tensioner and idler of the auxiliary belt (alternator and AC) on Dacia 1.5 dCi and 1.6 petrol wear sooner than expected - the bearings weaken and the belt loses proper tension. At the peak of summer when the AC is running at maximum, this can leave the driver stranded.

Popravka /We replace a full kit - tensioner, idler and the belt. Parts are cheap, the job is half an hour. We never recommend replacing only the belt without the tensioner - a new belt on a worn tensioner does not last.

  6. 06 /

Power window regulators and clutch pedal sensor

Window will not go up or down, regulator clicks, window motor whines - or the car refuses to start because it does not register the clutch as pressed.

Uzrok /Window regulators on Logan and Sandero I have plastic guides that crack. The clutch pedal sensor is a small switch that wears and the car thinks the clutch is not pressed, so it will not crank - a typical issue on Duster.

Popravka /The regulator is replaced as a kit with the motor - original or a good aftermarket, the price is reasonable. The clutch sensor is pennies, but without knowing the problem you are stuck. We solve it within 15 minutes with diagnostics.

04 / SAVJETIŠta pratiti na Dacia

Šta pratiti na Dacia

Mali savjeti koji produžavaju vijek motora i smanjuju račune za popravku.

  1. 01 /

Dacia is a simple car - there is not much that can break, but when it does, we fix it quickly and cheaply.

  2. 02 /

On the 1.5 dCi change oil every 10,000 km and buy fuel from trusted stations - diesel quality directly affects injector life.

  3. 03 /

If you have a Sandero or Logan with the 1.2 16V petrol, inspect the timing chain at 80,000 to 100,000 km - preventive replacement is cheaper than a broken chain.

  4. 04 /

On the 1.6 8V do not fear mileage - with spark plugs, oil and coolant under control, this engine will do 300,000 km without major work.

  5. 05 /

On Duster with LPG, regularly check the reducer and gas filters - a simple system needs simple maintenance.

  6. 06 /

Do not ignore AC belt squealing - a tensioner is cheap, but a belt that comes off can break plastic parts under the hood.

07 / ČESTO PITANJADacia

Često postavljena pitanja

Ako niste našli odgovor, nazovite nas - rado objasnimo telefonom prije nego dođete u radionicu.

Q /How much does a Dacia Logan service cost in Banja Luka?
Dacia is cheaper to maintain than most European cars, and you feel that directly on the invoice. Minor service, brake pads or auxiliary belt work are a quick job for us. We give you an exact price before we start, after inspecting the car and agreeing on the scope.
Q /Do you service the Dacia Duster with the 1.5 dCi diesel engine?
Yes, regularly. We do injector, turbo, EGR and DPF diagnostics. Work on the Duster is faster than on cars with tighter engine bays, and that reflects on labour cost.
Q /My Dacia Sandero will not start - what should I check before coming in?
Check the battery and whether the dashboard lights come on when you turn the key. If the dash lights up but the engine does not react, it is often the clutch pedal sensor or the relay block. The safest way is to call us and book a visit - with a diagnostic tool we see the issue in minutes.
Q /Do you fit and service LPG on Dacia models?
Yes. The 1.6 8V engine on the Logan and Sandero is exceptionally well suited to LPG and lasts long on gas. Installation, homologation and regular LPG system service are all done at our workshop. Before installation we inspect the engine and recommend a realistic option.
Q /Which is the most robust Dacia engine?
In our experience it is the 1.6 8V petrol on the Logan and Sandero - simple design, little electronics, long-lasting block and head. With regular maintenance it is an engine that will take you far without major expense.
Q /Where is your workshop and how long is the wait for an appointment?
