- Yes. The gearbox has to come out to reach the flywheel, and replacing only the flywheel while leaving an old clutch will mean paying for the same labour twice within months.
- Q /How long does a 1.4 TSI timing chain replacement take?
- A full timing chain set replacement on a 1.4 TSI usually takes two working days. We recommend replacing the water pump and thermostat in the same job if they are original.
- Q /My Golf 7 2.0 TDI is showing a DPF warning, what should I do?
- First step is computer diagnostics to see if the filter is just clogged or if there are sensor faults. Most cases can be resolved with a forced regeneration; if the filter is fully blocked we remove it for professional cleaning.
