Vibrations at idle, rattle on start and stop, jerking at low revs, harder gear engagement.
Uzrok /The dual-mass flywheel absorbs diesel engine vibrations. On the 1.6 and 1.8 TDCi it usually lasts 150,000-180,000 km, but city driving and frequent gear changes speed up wear. Once it fails, vibrations go straight into the gearbox.
Popravka /Replacing the flywheel together with a full clutch kit in one job. On the Focus Mk2 and Mondeo we also replace the clutch slave cylinder since it sits inside the gearbox, so we do not drop the box twice.

Uzrok /Rear trailing arm bushings are a notorious weak point of the Focus Mk2 and Mk3. On our roads they last 60,000-80,000 km. Weak rubber and constant stress from rough surfaces kill them quickly.
Popravka /Pressing new bushings into the arm or replacing the whole rear arm with new bushings already fitted. Sometimes replacing the complete arm is faster and safer than pressing.

- Yes, we run a full diagnostic on the PowerShift (DCT) gearbox - TCM error codes, adaptations and clutch status. If it is only a software adaptation issue we fix it on the spot. For bigger problems (clutch replacement, overhaul) we agree the scope of work in advance.
- Q /Can you clean the DPF filter on a Ford Focus 1.6 TDCi?
- Yes. We first run diagnostics to check the DPF condition, then choose the method - forced regeneration through the computer, chemical cleaning or removal and machine cleaning. If the DPF is physically damaged we replace it. We also check the oil level since diesel dilution is a known issue on this engine.
- Q /Do you install LPG on Ford vehicles?
- Yes, LPG installation on petrol Ford models is one of our core services, going back to 1996. We most often do Focus and Mondeo petrols. Before installation we always check the engine condition - a weak engine and gas do not mix.
