Timing chain on 1.4 Turbo and 1.6 Turbo petrol
Metallic rattle on cold start, timing fault, engine shudder, check engine, power loss.
Uzrok /On 1.4 Turbo (A14NET) and 1.6 Turbo the timing chain is known to stretch before 150,000 km. Delayed oil changes make it worse.
Popravka /Replacement of the full timing set - chain, tensioner, guides and sprockets. A job we do often on these engines. We recommend immediate action at first symptoms - a broken chain means a new engine.

- Depends on condition. If it is only clogged with soot and the mechanism works, we clean it - the cheaper option. If damaged, we replace. Decision is made after diagnostics and visual inspection.
